Description
Sunlee Banana Blossom in Brine is cleaned, sliced puso ng saging packed in lightly salted water, so it's ready to cook straight from the can. It's made with banana blossom, water, salt, calcium chloride to keep the slices firm, and citric acid. Contains sulfites (sodium metabisulfite).
Drain and rinse before cooking, with no peeling or soaking needed. Simmer it in gata for ginataang puso ng saging, add it to kare-kare, or chop and pan-fry it with egg for tortang puso ng saging. It also makes a great meat-free filling for lumpia and vegan sisig. Comes in an 18oz (510g) can, 9oz (260g) drained.
