Description
A ready-to-make mix for ube buchi, the chewy fried sesame balls Filipinos love for merienda, from Miguelitos, a product of the Philippines. It's made with glutinous rice flour, sugar, sesame seeds, and ube (purple yam) flavor, is artificially colored, and is labeled halal. Contains sesame, and it's made in a facility that also processes milk, wheat, eggs, and nuts.
Mix the pouch with 1 cup of water until a dough forms, scoop about 2 tablespoons, and shape each into a ball. Press a dip in the center, fill it with monggo, red beans, cheese cubes, or ube halaya, then seal and roll it round again. Coat in sesame seeds and deep-fry over low heat until golden brown, then drain. Store in a cool, dry place. 1.21 lbs (550g) pouch.
